This page describes how to delete your account and associated data in the Tipza mobile application. Tipza is published by Tipza (the developer and operator of the app as shown on the Google Play Store and other store listings).

How to request account deletion

Account deletion is performed inside the Tipza app. There is no web-based deletion form. To delete your account and associated data:

  1. Open the Tipza app on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (e.g. from the app menu or profile).
  3. Open Account or Data & privacy.
  4. Select Delete account.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps and confirm when prompted. Confirmation is required to complete deletion.

If you cannot access the app or prefer another channel, you can request account deletion by email. Send your request to [email protected] from the email address linked to your Tipza account. We will process your request in line with this policy.

What data we delete

When you delete your account, we delete the following:

Deletion is carried out in line with our systems’ processing schedule. Once completed, this data is no longer available to you or to us for normal use.

What we may retain (and why)

We may retain limited data for the reasons set out below. We do not use retained data to identify you or to provide the service again.

Retention periods

Where we retain data for legal, tax, or compliance reasons, we keep it only for the period required (e.g. as specified by applicable law, such as up to 7 years for certain tax or business records). Security and support-related retention is limited to what is necessary and is typically a few months to a few years, after which the data is deleted.

Deleting your data without deleting your account

If you want to remove your in-app data but keep your Tipza account (for example so you can continue using the app with a clean slate), you can use the data deletion option in the same Settings area.

How it works:

  1. Open the Tipza app and go to Settings.
  2. Open Account or Data & privacy.
  3. Select the option to Delete my data (or similar wording such as “Clear my data” or “Delete data”).
  4. Read the short explanation of what will be removed, then confirm when prompted.

After you confirm, we delete your in-app data (tip split records, calculations, carry-over amounts, and related history) from our systems. Your account and login stay active, so you can keep using Tipza. The same retention exceptions described above (legal, tax, security, support) may apply to limited data as needed.
